Camping Accessories You Must Have For a Comfortable Trip

Whether you’re glamping it up in a canvas tent or roughing it in a wooded cabin, the right gear can make your trip more comfortable and enjoyable. From camping lanterns to outdoor showers, these essentials will upgrade your campsite and help you prepare for any adventure you’ll be embarking on.

Lantern

Having a lantern or flashlight handy is a must-have for car camping and backpacking alike, especially for common eating areas and the inside of your tent. Fortunately, there’s now a slew of lightweight backpacking lanterns that won’t weigh you down. We recommend the Pure Woodland Glow, which is both a bright LED lamp and Bluetooth speaker.

Camp Table

A compact and affordable camping table is a must-have for both car camping and backcountry trips. We like this model from Decathlon, which has a spacious top for spreading out food and drink supplies, plus built-in storage for plates, cups and cutlery.

Sleeping Pad

Getting a good night’s rest is key when you’re camping. A good sleeping pad will raise you off the ground so you don’t feel every pebble and twig under your body. We like the Therm-a-Rest Z Lite Sol, which is less than an inch thick but feels surprisingly cozy and is super lightweight. A few other things to consider are long thermal pants and shirts to keep you warm and comfortable, a puffy jacket and gloves, and of course, a good pair of hiking shoes and bug repellent.
