Camping in the Florida Keys is an ideal way to enjoy the area. There are many different kinds of campsites to choose from. You can go beach camping, and there are plenty of RV parks that offer water access. If you are looking for something with a little more privacy, there are also a few state parks that allow tent camping.
During the winter months, the average nightly rate at private RV parks is around $100. However, the price will depend on the location of your site. A waterfront site will cost more than an interior one.
One of the best campgrounds in the Florida Keys is the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. This park has a limited number of campsites, but they are all reasonably priced. The price per night is much lower than the hotel rate, and it is a very popular destination for tourists.
Another popular campground is the Jolly Roger campground in the Middle Keys. It offers daily, weekly, and monthly rates. It is also located right next to the water, and you can easily take a dip.
The Jolly Roger has cute tiki cabanas and colorful outdoor furniture. They have an outdoor swimming pool, laundry room, and even a pinball machine.
If you don’t want to stay in a campground, you can also work camp at a number of Florida Keys state parks. Most people like to eat out while they are in the Keys, but there are also several restaurants that serve locally inspired cuisine.
